We celebrated 11 years!!

So yesterday was Jacob's birthday and every year since he was very small, we take him to Olive Garden. That has ALWAYS been his favorite restaurant. So we went and had a very nice time.

Today February 25th, 2009 my baby boy turns 11! I simply cannot believe that it has been eleven years since his birth. As you will see in the photos, Jacob had a rough time entering this world. Born at 30 weeks, he struggled to survive. I thank God everyday for taking care of my baby and making him a fighter. Jacob was born only weighing 3lbs 12oz. Jacob lived his first 6weeks at CHKD learning to breath, suck and survive in this world. He did it!! Jacob has been through a lot in his short 11 years but we have so many wonderful memories. As I was going through all of the pictures, it became overwhelming. So many wonderful times spent together and I will cherish all of those memories forever. Jacob is an A honor roll student, very smart and he has a very good heart. Jacob loves the Lord and I'm so thankful for that. Enjoy these photos....I wish I could've put them all on here. Many of them brought tears to my eyes but also a smile on my face. Thank you God for Jacob and let us have many more years of laughter. Happy Birthday Jacob....I love you!!

I just wanted to post a few pics that I took at our bible study the other night. We had meatball subs and chips for dinner and then a nice big chocolate chip cookie for something sweet. What a wonderful day it was! I took the daycare kids to see Dora today. O' how they LOVED the show. CJ's Mom came with me and I was so glad to have her help. We saw the show at Chrysler Hall and then off to MacArthur Center we went to have lunch and play at the playground. Enjoy these great pics of the kids having a wonderful time.

I want to apologize to all of my "Moms" for not updating my blog. I know you and your family love to see your little one on here. I'm sorry for not keeping it up everyday. I'll try to do better. I just stay so busy and by nighttime...I'm exhausted:o) Have a good time looking at all the pics I've taken. The kids truly make me love my job. All of the smiles and laughter is good medicine for the soul. I love these little people...including my own of course! Enjoy...I hope these pics make you smile like they do me. I have tons more to post...maybe I'll get time tomorrow.

We are always having fun at daycare...there's never a dull moment. We had a wonderful visit from Bryant and Gavi yesterday....I still miss them very much. ENJOY!

Report Cards!

Well yesterday was report card day and it was a very exciting day for Jacob. Since third grade he has tried so hard to make principles list and every time he always had at least 1 B. Well this past six weeks HE DID IT! He has been on cloud nine ever since. The funny thing is....spelling is what he would usually get a B in. I think that's funny. So as I've always promised....in our home if you get all A's you get 50 bucks. So last night we went to Applebees and celebrated and of course Jacob go $50. Madelyn got honor roll and that was just fine with her until I handed Jake the $50. So maybe that's some incentive for her to try harder. She really doesn't care as much as he does. :o) YAY for Jacob!

A Raquetball night!

Travis and I have kinda taken up racquetball here lately. He always seems to beat me but I can say that I'm getting better:o) Well now Jacob and Madelyn are getting in on the fun. I happened to have my camera with me tonight(ha, imagine that) and I took a few pics of us having fun. Jacob and Madelyn were not dressed for the occasion because our original plans were that they would be in the babysitting room.....they changed our minds quickly:o)
