Just wanted to post a short clip of the performance that our kids at GBW did in Roanoke this weekend. They have been practicing for quite a while now and they did a really good job.
I'm adding some photos to this post as well. We had a really good time. It was a quick trip but a nice one. I got to spend a lot of time with my good friend Deborah as she and her two kids rode with us. We laughed so much that our stomachs hurt!! It so nice to have someone that you can share EVERYTHING with....I won't do that with just anyone. The kids enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel and even the hot tub. I'm so glad our kids got to be a part of this talent show. I think we've taught them a little about dedication and commitment along with team work. I've also included a picture of the guys pushing Mike and Amber's vehicle. On the way there we had to stop at a gas station because everyone had to go to the bathroom and Madelyn had gotten car sick and thrown up in a Walmart bag. When they went to start their car to leave...it wouldn't start. SO they had to ride with others that were going on the trip with us. I think the devil just wanted to mess things up for us....BUT he didn't succeed. We ALL went and we all had a good time:o)

Wii fit!
This was the funniest thing today. Madelyn was playing the wii fit and Baker is her sidekick so he was in on the fun. He LOVES the balance board. It was so funny...he kept trying to push Madi off and then when she would move him over he would get so mad! He poked that little lip out and made her feel terrible. So of course then she would put him back on and he was all smiles. He loves the remote too...notice in the pictures he would hold it like a telephone. Too Cute!!

Fun times!
Okay...so I'm behind again with posting. But today I catch up! Here's a slideshow of some of the latest happenings. We have so much fun here at daycare. Dance time, as you will notice, is one of our favorite times. Baker is now walking....YAY! He's so sweet I could just eat him up. Enjoy these sweet faces.

St. Patty's Day
For the Moms and families that are checking out my blog to see your little one at daycare....I'm sorry that I've been so slack with posting pictures. Its certainly not that I don't take the pictures...I just can't seem to get the time to upload all of them. So I'm going to try and just pick a few each day and post them daily. Maybe that way I won't get so behind. Trying to post ALL of them is what takes so long. If you have a better idea of a way that I can share ALL of the photos with you, please let me know.
Today we made our St. Patrick's Day crafts. I taught the children that this is how the Irish told others about God. We also learned that the shamrock was used to teach others about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. We made our things today because CJ and Kyra will not be here at daycare tomorrow.

Prayer!
On Saturday night our CONNECT group met and right now our study is on prayer. O' how important prayer is in our daily lives. Its so vital that we have constant communication with God! Saturday night we learned about Family prayer. We got several good ideas to help us build a family alter so that prayer becomes more consistent in our lives. As for my home, we always pray at bedtime. That's been something that we've done since the kids were really small. Jacob and Madelyn won't even go to bed by themselves and they certainly wouldn't think of going without us having our time of prayer. They are so sweet, they always remember everyone. One of the ideas that we learned was to have a "fishbowl" prayer. When I told the kids about this...they thought it was the BEST idea. You simply take a fishbowl and everyone writes down a prayer/prayers and place them into the fishbowl. During prayer time each of you pulls a slip out and prays for that need. You place the slip back into the bowl when done and if that slip gets pulled out another time...its NOT by coincidence!! So we started out "fishbowl" prayer tonight. We put our requests into the bowl and before bed we prayed for the needs on the slips. I thought it was so great that Jacob requested that we pray for our church to grow and for us as a family to reach more people and tell them about Jesus! God has done so much for us as a family and I'm so thankful that he is in our lives. I can't imagine going through this life without HIM!!
